David Alfonso Ollis of Derry, NH, beloved son of Grace M. of Melrose and the late John F. Ollis. Loving father of David P. and Ashley G. Ollis, both of Londonderry, NH, who along with their mother Stacie Ollis will miss him dearly. Cherished baby brother of Lisa Ollis Ruszczyk, of Seabrook, NH; Susan Gillis of Saugus, MA; John F. Ollis Jr. of Alpharetta, GA; and Deborah Bednarz of Nashua, NH.

David was born in Malden, the youngest of five children. He was a 1987 graduate of Malden High School where he held positions as captain of both the football and wrestling teams. He enjoyed many fun-filled summers with family at Cobbetts Pond.

He began his career at the Middlesex Sheriff's Department in 1990, eventually earning the title of Captain of Security, a role he took pride in.

David will be remembered for his hard shell and soft heart, his pride and adoration for both his children, his skill at refurbishing furniture, enjoying a good movie, card or chess game, and of course his appreciation of sitcoms.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 175 Broadway, Malden.
