Obituary

Gloria (Mancini) Vozzella, 90 of Saugus, MA, died on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Rosewood Rehabilitation Center in Peabody, MA. She was the wife of the late Edward Vozzella. Gloria was born in the North End of Boston, she was the daughter of the late Otino Mancini and Carmela (Laporta) Mancini. She was a graduate of Somerville High School. She was a member of the Sons of Italy, Progresso Club and retired from Danvers State Hospital. She was an avid card player and loved to travel. She was an incredible baker and a superb cook mastering Italian food. Gloria loved all kinds of animals especially her dog Abby and her cat Mia. Gloria loved music and was a great dancer! Her love and affection for her family was overwhelming. She leaves a daughter, Gail A. Vozzella of Saugus, MA, daughter-in-law Jane Vozzella of Wells, ME and two grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son Edward Vozzella, Jr. and her husband Edward Vozzella, Sr. Gloria was the sister of the late Antonette DeLuca, Rose DiTucci, Louise Rizzo, Gabriel Mancini & Domenic Mancini. Friends and family may gather at Gately Funeral Home on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 9:00-10:00AM followed by a service at 10AM. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Those planning on attending are required to follow Covid-19 protocol by wearing masks, keeping a social distance, paying their respects to the family and exiting the funeral home to allow others to attend. We are limited to the number of guests inside the funeral home at one time.
