Mary Elizabeth (Poirier) McPhee died at Melrose Wakefield Hospital Dec. 1st at the age of 89. She was born in Medford, raised in Melrose and was a lifelong resident of Melrose. Mary Elizabeth graduated from St. Mary's Grammar & High School in Melrose. She worked as a secretary for N.E. Life Insurance Co for 20yrs and for Field's Hosery at Sparks Deptartment Store in Malden for several years. Mary was also a former member of St. Mary's Ladies Sodality and a present member of Incarnation Church in Melrose. She was the wife of the late John W. McPhee. Mother of Patricia M. Dwyer & her husband David of Melrose and the late Joseph V. McPhee. Sister of Joseph F. Poirier of Melrose. Grandmother of Daniel R. Dwyer of Melrose, Joseph V. Quinn of LA and Keith J. Dwyer of Danvers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wed. Dec. 5th at 9AM. Funeral mass in The Church of the Incarnation 429 Upham St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tues. 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
