Robert R. ''Bob'' Manson died suddenly at home Dec. 21st at the age of 59. Bob was born and raised in Stoneham, graduated from Stoneham High Class of 1960, attended UMass Amhurst and was a lifelong resident of Stoneham. Bob was the co-owner of M&M Liqours in Malden for over 30yrs and the manager of Buyrite Liquors in Cambridge for the past year and a half. He was very active in Stoneham, running the Youth Basketball Program forover 10 years and he was a member of the Stoneham Spartan Light Committee. Bob was also an active committee member on the Frank Bille Golf Tournament, raising money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He was the husband of Darlene (Cleveland) Manson. Father of Carrie A. Manson, Scott D. Manson & his wife Laura all of Stoneham. Brother of Don McQueen & his wife Cindy, Marlene Penley & her husband Norm all of Saugus. Son of George & Iris Cushman of ME. Grandfather of Ryan D. & Shawn W. Manson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thurs. Dec. 27th at 10AM. Funeral service in 1st Congregational Church 1 Church St. Stoneham at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 2-4 & 7-9PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Cemetery Peabody.
