Obituary

Vincenzo Perrone born February 14, 1934 in Sciacca Sicily Son to his beloved mother, Vincenza (Sabella) and father, Guiseppe Perrone-both deceased.

Brother to Calogero Perrone(deceased) all from Sciacca Sicily

Survived by wife, Rachela, daughter Vincenza Sullivan and husband John and daughter Lina Falcone and husband Michael. Grandfather to Sean, Joseph, Brianna, Adrianna and Salvatore.

A veteran of the Italian army, he married, and then Immigrated to America in 1961 and settled in Revere where he built a life and raised a family with his wife. Always a jack of all trades, his first job was working at a railroad company doing an ironwork for tracks. His next career path took him to the culinary world. becoming a chef at the Parker House and then at the Ritz Carlton in Boston.

An avid gardener, you could always see over 50 tomato plants and many other vegetables in his garden every summer.

Hobbies also included fishing and going to the gun range, boasting a statewide championship in pistol shooting.

His later life, he enjoyed going to the gym every day, playing cards at the coffee shop and painting portraits.

Lover of all sports, but his favorite sport and team of all times is Hockey and the Boston Bruins.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM  at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose. Due to inclement weather expected the funeral mass and burial have been canceled.

In lieu of flowers a donations may be made to the Italian Home for Children, 1125 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130
