Agnes E. (Hilenski) Kasper, of Melrose, died at the Daniels House Nursing Home on Nov. 25, 2013 at the age of 85. Agnes was born in Boston, raised in Dorchester and a graduate of Girls High School in Dorchester. She resided in Dorchester for most of her life and the past 17 years in Melrose. Agnes worked for Grant's Department Store in Boston before raising her family. She was an avid reading and enjoyed bingo, polka dancing and traveling to Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Foxwoods. Agnes loved to spend her vacations on Long Lake in Naples, ME. She was the beloved wife of the late John P. Kasper for 44 years. Loving mother of John J. Kasper & his wife Luanne of East Weymouth, Janice M. Kasper & Jeanne M. Mahoney & her husband David, all of Melrose and the late James J. Kasper. Cherished grandmother of Christopher, Lauren & Michael Kasper and Matthew & Carolyn Mahoney. Devoted sister of Anne Czepiel & her late husband Edward of Chicopee, the late Leocadia Kahler & her late husband Edward and the late Mary Granda & her late husband Benjamin. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday, Nov. 30th at 8AM. A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial in St. Michael's Cemetery, Boston.
