Albert J. Frazier passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on January 2, 2008, he was 91 years of age.
Albert was born in Maine to the late Edward & Mary (Pierce) Frazier and raised in Somerville. He entered the service in 1943 and served with the US Army during WWII for 3 years.
Mr. Frazier lived in Woburn for 40 years and Melrose for the past 15 years.
Albert worked as a self-employed handy man and talented carpenter, doing odd jobs, roofing and siding in Woburn and surrounding towns for many years. He loved to square dance, enjoyed watching the Bruins & Red Sox and was a former member of the Woburn VFW.
Husband of the late Ruth (Summers) Frazier. Father of Albert W. Frazier Jr. Longtime companion of E. Dorothy (Lennon) Edeman & her family; Donna Brown, Alan Edeman and Sharon DeSimone. Brother of Gerry Frazier & his wife Connie of Melrose and Marie Nickerson of Woburn. Also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday, Jan. 7th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield, at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6PM. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn.
