Obituary

Albert Leo Michigan passed away at home, on Nov. 3, 2005, he was 74. Albert was born and raised in Medford, graduated from St. Josephs Grammar School in Medford and Medford High School. Mr. Michigan was an Iron Worker for the Local #7 Union, working as a supervisor foreman for many years and then he worked as a laboratory technician at C&K Components in Newton for 15 years. Albert served in the US Army in the Korean & Vietnam War and retired from the US Army Reserves as a Major after 20 years of service. He lived in Everett for 13 years and Melrose for over 40 years. Albert was a member of the Mt. Hood Park Association, was an avid reader and enjoyed music & computers. He was the husband of Mary E. (MacKenzie) Michigan. Father of Shirley Lozzi, Ann Tokson both of Everett, Martin Michigan of Merrimack and James Michigan of Litchfield NH. Brother of Grace Sawyer of Arlington and Shirley Wilcoxen of Weymouth. Grandfather of Kimberly, Kristen & Kerri Lyall, Michael Lozzi, Steven Drohan, James, Ryan, David & Kate Michigan. Great grandfather of Cameron DiBiccari. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Tues. Nov. 8th at 9AM. Funeral mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday 4-8PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody. Memorial contributions may be made to Hallmark Health Hospice, 100 Hospital Rd. Malden 02148.
