Albert Walter Richards, III, of Rockland, died unexpectedly on October 28, 2026, at the age of 31. He was born in Boston on September 20th, 1995, and was raised in Revere where he attended school. Albert served honorably as a medic in the National Guard. He was very proud of his son and loved spending time with him. He also enjoyed being with friends and watching movies. Albert had fond memories attending air shows with his father.

Albert was the father of Albert “AJ” Walter Richards, IV. He was the son of Marie McQueen & her husband Robert of Saugus, and Albert Walter Richards, Jr, & his wife Kristin of Holbrook. Brother of Michael Bartone & his fiancé Erin Power of Sturbridge, Brian Bartone & his wife Catherine of Winthrop, Matthew Richards of Weymouth, Heather Richards & her husband Michael Campbell of Norwell, and Timothy Richards & his wife Jessica of North Haverhill, NH. He was the former spouse of Patty Cabassa. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026, from 4:00-6:00pm at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose. A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00pm immediately following the visiting hours inside the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
