Albio F. Mancini passed away at his home in Melrose on February 18, 2006, he was 69. Albio was born and raised in Cansano Italy, graduated high school in Italy and came to the United States in 1975. He lived in Medford for 20 years, New York for 4 years and Melrose the past 5 years. Albio was a talented tailor working in the garment industry for Hickey Freeman in New York and in Boston at Ralph Lauren & Filenes for many years. Mr. Mancini was a devoted & loving grandfather, an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles & gardening. Albio was the husband of Donata (DiVito) Mancini. Father of Angela L. OBrien & her husband Philip, Carmela Risola & her husband Charles all of Melrose, Lino A. Mancini & Stephen L. Mancini both of Medford. Brother of Rocco Mancini & Gemma Villani both of Italy. Grandfather of Alessia & Stefan OBrien and Nyla & Katia Risola. Also survived by numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wed. Feb. 22nd at 9AM. Funeral Mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
