Alexander J. Pat Lynch passed away suddenly at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Saturday June 5th at the age of 80. Pat was born in Chelsea, raised in Somerville, graduated from Somerville High in 1943, as Class President, and from Bentley Business School. He lived in Somerville for many years and the past 31 years in Melrose. Mr. Lynch worked as a banker for Shawmut Bank for over 30 years in the Central Square section of Somerville, after retiring from Shawmut Bank he continued to work part time in the accounting field. Pat was an alderman in Ward 4 in Somerville for 10 years, was a member of the Somerville Lyons Club and a member of Incarnation Church in Melrose. He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Constance T. (Tarello) Lynch and the late Mary T. (Kelly) Lynch. Loving father of Joseph A. Lynch & his wife Joan of Stoneham, Kathleen J. Tarpey & her husband Paul of Melrose, Joanne D. Lynch of Charlestown and Patricia A. McLaughlin & her husband John of Melrose. Brother of Robert G. Lynch of Somerville and the late Anna OLeary. Devoted papa of Brendan J. Lynch, LT. Michael K. Lynch US Army, Katelyn J., Shannon D. & Maeve L. Tarpey, Brian A. & Julia M. McLaughlin and the late Victoria C. McLaughlin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wed. June 9th at 9AM.
