Alexander J. Sandy MacLean of Medford and Malden, passed away at The Youville Hospital in Cambridge on November 16, 2005. He was 80 years old. Born in Medford on May 21, 1925 to Elizabeth K. (Dean) MacLean & Oliver J. MacLean. Sandy was raised in Lexington & graduated from Waltham High School, class of 1943. He enlisted in the Navy and fought in numerous battles, receiving the bronze & silver stars. He worked for 26 years as a linotype operator for the R & S Printing Company in Boston. Sandy was an avid reader & enjoyed crossword puzzles. Husband of the late Ann M. (Vincello) MacLean. Loving father of Alexander J. Jr. & his wife Marjorie of Bath, OH, Susan M. & her husband Marc Peterson of Williamsville, NY, Judy A. & her husband Michael Malley of Tewksbury, Sandra J. & her husband Todd Greene of Mansfield, & the late Michael J. MacLean. Father-in-law of Nancy (Deutch) MacLean of Braintree. Cherished grandfather of Jamie, Meredith, Gregory, Joshua, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Alexis, Erica, Christopher, Nicholas, Stephanie, Todd, Jonathan, & Nathanael. Also survived by many nieces & nephews.
