Alexandria M. Linnie (Rotondi) Pitkerwich passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2008, at the Epoch Senior Care Center in Melrose. She was 97 years of age. Daughter of the late George & Maria (Bevilacqua) Rotondi. Linnie was born and raised in Melrose and was a lifelong resident of Melrose. She attended Melrose Schools and was one of the founding members of Incarnation Church. Linnie was a homemaker and had worked as a hairdresser for several years in Boston. Mrs. Pitkerwich loved the outdoors, gardening, cooking, canning, birds, nature, flowers and art. She was the spouse of the late John B. Pitkerwich Sr. Mother of John B. Jack Pitkerwich Jr. of Malden and Jean M. Myrner of CA. Grandmother of Linda Donahue & Niels Myrner both of CA. Great grandmother of Owen & Bailee Sue Donahue. Sister of Esther Capone of Winchester and the late Ernest, Edward, George Jr., Carlo Merle, Joseph, Armand Mundy, Robert & Josephine Rotondi, Mary Frongillo Sylvia Iannacci & Amy Mastrangelo. Aunt of Susan Rotondi as well as numerous other nieces & nephews. Funeral from The Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Tuesday, Jan. 8th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Monday 4-7PM. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery Stoneham.
