IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alice
Dure
April 22, 1940 – September 10, 2024
Alice Lamothe Duré was born on April 22nd, 1940, in La Vallée-de-Jacmel, Haiti, daughter of Saoul Lamothe and Lamercie Lauture. She spent most of her life there, where she met her husband Elissaint Duré(deceased) in the late 1960s.
After her husband's death, Alice's dedication to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She was a strong, hardworking woman who ensured her children had everything they needed to thrive, and her love and commitment to her family were truly admirable.
In the late 1990s, Alice made a significant move, leaving Haiti to join her family in the United States. She shared her legacy of hard work, love, and devotion with her grandchildren, great-nieces, and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched.
Alice leaves her four children, Bernadette Duré Jean Marie, Margarette Duré, Carlos Duré, and Giselle Duré, and four grandchildren, Wilbertiny Jean Marie, Hayayine Jean Marie, Exsandrine Jean Marie, Armani Duré. Alice is also survived by her sisters Romaine Lauture, Inesia Mingot, and her late brother Guillaume Lamothe (deceased). Her spirit and the values she instilled in us will continue to guide and inspire us.
