Obituary

Alice Patricia (Geehan) Hall of Revere passed away peacefully on June 25th at home with family by her side at the age of 79. Born to Monica (Haley) Geehan (deceased) and John Geehan (deceased) of Melrose, Alice was one of 12 children. Survived by her four children, John H. Hall Jr., Victoria Bevins, Bridget Argo and Jennifer Morneault. She also is survived by Irene Hall (wife of John), 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews. Alice was a lifetime resident of both Melrose and Revere.

Despite her many ailments, Alice had a fighting and vivacious spirit for life. Among the many places she loved to go, Revere Beach was her favorite and would often tell her children and grandchildren stories about how it was in its glory days when it had a Ferris wheel and arcade. She always had a sense of peace while there and loved to watch her many grandchildren make their own memories at the same place she too had made those same memories as a child. She loved playing Bingo and Pokeno with the many friends she made along the way and the occasional trip to the casino with her lady-friends. Alice also loved doing puzzles of all kinds, reading mystery novels and playing cards. She loved to watch the Red Sox and the Patriots while sitting in her favorite chair with her beloved cat, Sabastian, at her side.

Alice was a valued friend to all who met her and will be missed by the many who loved her.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose. Interment will be private. Family & Friend's are respectfully invited to attend.
