Alice M. (Cabral) Jouvelis of Tewksbury, formerly of Wakefield, passed away on October 19, 2023, at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, surrounded by her loving family. She was 74 years old.

Born in Somerville, MA on May 2, 1949. Alice graduated from Somerville High School in 1967, then completed her certificate as a Dental Assistant from Northeastern University. She later pursued her passion for caring for others by graduating from Youville Hospital School of Nursing in 1989, where she was awarded the Excellence in Patient Care Award. Worked at renowned Joslin Clinic as a nurse & later worked as a Nurse Recruiter at Lahey Clinic for the last fifteen years, where she mentored many newly licensed nurses.

Alice was a longtime resident of Wakefield for over 30 years where she enjoyed walking her dog with her late brother Frank.

Alice loved spending time with her family & her dogs. Her dogs were extremely special to her. She always looked forward to family vacations in Myrtle Beach. Alice loved to laugh above all & her warm smile was contagious.

Beloved wife of Theodore J. Jouvelis, of Tewksbury. Devoted mother of John T. Jouvelis, of Tewksbury & daughter Diane A. Jouvelis, also of Tewksbury.

Loving daughter of Augustus & Helen Cabral, deceased. Alice was one of five siblings, all of whom she cherished. Sister of Paul Cabral & wife Donna of New Oxford, PA, Thomas Cabral & wife Marie of Saugus, Helen Pinto & husband Joseph of Burlington, predeceased by loving brother Francis Cabral & wife Maria, formerly of Melrose. Sister-in-law of Jeanne Gianoukos & her husband Peter of Wakefield. Survived by many cherished nieces, nephews & friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 4:00PM-7:00PM. Procession from the Gately Funeral Home on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 9:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
