Alice I. (Dolan) McBride passed away at the Daniels House in Reading, on Sunday, June 15, 2008. She was 94 years old. Alice was born in Nashua, NH, graduated from Medford High School and attended Boston University. She raised her family in Melrose and then moved to Saugus and Florida. Alice worked as a secretary for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, where she met her husband. After raising her family, Alice returned to work and retired from the First National Bank of Boston. Mrs. McBride was a devoted member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield where she was a member of the Guild and taught CCD. Beloved wife of the late Joseph B. McBride. Loving mother of Eileen DiLisio of Wakefield, Maureen Angelo of Melrose, Joseph B. (Jobie) McBride and his wife Mary of Lynnfield, and Claire Bolger and her husband Paul of Reading. Caring sister of the late Mary Dolan and Loretta Malone. Also, survived by 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster Street, Melrose, on Thursday June 19th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament, 1155 Main Street, Wakefield at 10AM.
