Alice (Sias) Killion Sasso passed away at Bear Hill Nursing Center in Stoneham on January 8, 2006, she was 92. Alice was born and raised in Revere, graduated from Revere High School and the New England Institute of Applied Arts & Sciences, with her Funeral Directors License. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr Arno M. Bommer and then his son Dr. Arno P. Bommer for many years. Mrs. Killion continued to operate the Killion Funeral Home in Revere after her husbands sudden death in 1975. Alice was a lifelong communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Revere, a longtime member of The Catholic Daughters, the Revere Womens Club and the Old State House Melrose Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She lived in Revere most of her life and several years in Melrose.Alice was the wife of the late William J. Killion & the late Gino J. Sasso. Sister of the late Margaret Toomey, Elizabeth Mulligan and Benjamin Sias. Step-mother of Jean Beck of Melrose, Kathleen Polito of Woburn & Mary Talbot of Scituate. She was the aunt of many nieces, nephews, grand nieces & nephews and great grand nieces & nephews to all she was Aunty. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thurs. Jan. 12th, at 8:45AM. Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beech St. Revere, at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 4-7PM. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
