Angela (Mirra) Catalano, 96 of Melrose, MA, formerly of Medford, MA, died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford, MA after a brief illness. Angela was born December 20, 1908 in Italy and came to the United Stated with her family when she was 18 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter Catalano who passed away March 11, 1982. Loving mother of Anthony A. Catalano Sr. & his wife Elaine of Stoneham, Rose A. Welts & her husband Robert of Hollis, NH and Lee J. Maciel of Melrose. Devoted grandmother of Peter W. Catalano & his wife Terri of Pelham, NH, Anthony A. Catalano Jr. & his wife Wendy of Stoneham, Denise M. Binari & her husband Steven, Suzanne A. Colozzi & her husband Frank, all of Melrose and Ryan A. Welts & his wife Corinne of Brookline, NH. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, MA on Saturday Feb. 5th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Burial in St. Michaels Cemetery, Boston.
