Angelina Angie (Montefusco) Scarpa, of Melrose, died at the Arches in Northfield, NH on April 29, 2007 at the age of 98. Angie was born & raised in the North End of Boston and lived there until 1930. She resided in Melrose and was a member of St. Marys Church for the past 70 years. Angie was a member of the Ladies Sodality & the Italian American Club in Melrose for many years. Since 1938, she spent her summers at Suncook Lake in Barnstead, NH and was the beloved wife of the late Frank L. Scarpa. Loving mother of Domenic V. Scarpa & his wife Patricia of Wakefield and Louis R. Scarpa & his wife Gloria of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of 16 Grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday May 4th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 4-8PM.
