Angelina (DiMarzio) Simboli, of Melrose, died peacefully with her daughter by her side, on March 1, 2022 at the age of 88. She was born in Montreal, Canada on December 17, 1933 to Nunzio and Marietta (Gasbarro) DiMarzio. She would eventually marry the late Natale Simboli and spent 55 years happily married. In 1965 Angelina and Natale moved their family to Everett, MA and then to Melrose in 1972, where they both remained for the rest of their lives. Angelina was a talented seamstress, working as one for over 15 years, as well as sewing most of her families clothing. She loved to be around her family and frequently returned to Canada to visit her siblings and their families. Angelina was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late Natale Simboli. Cherished mother of Nunziatina "Nancy" Simboli and loving grandmother of Dante. She was predeceased by her siblings Gemma, Lucia, Guiseppe, Antonio, and Clementina. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM immediately following the visitation at St. Mary's Church, 4 Herbert St., Melrose. Interment at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
