Ann Nancy DiGiovanni, of Melrose, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on May 27, 2005 at the age of 71. Ann was born in Charlestown, raised in Melrose and attended St. Marys Grammar School. She was a graduate of Charlestown High School, Class of 1952 and the Melrose Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1957. Ann worked as a Nurse for over 40 years at both the Melrose Wakefield Hospital and the former Normandy House Nursing Home in Melrose. She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield since 1957. Ann was the beloved wife of Robert DiGiovanni for 44 years. Loving mother of Ann McPherson & her husband Neil Coutu of Stoneham, Ellen Meehan & her husband Robert of Wakefield and Amy DiGiovanni & her husband Gary Bayers of Wakefield. Cherished grandmother of Spencer, Alex, Max, Cross, Quinn and Gavin. Caring sister of Ruth Kane of Lynn, Joan Scalese & her husband James of Belmont, Kathleen Anno & her husband John and their children Lauren and Devin of Lynnfield and the late Doris Dewey. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday May 31st at 9AM. Funeral Mass at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Monday from 3-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
