Ann Lois (Morrison) Kirby passed away peacefully, on December 13, 2006, at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital and left a void in the hearts of all that knew and loved her. Ann was born in Somerville, raised in Somerville & West Medford and graduated from Medford High School. She lived in West Medford for many years before moving to Melrose in 1963. She was a loving homemaker and worked as an intake coordinator for the Mystic Valley Elder Service in Malden for 18 years, after raising her family. Mrs. Kirby was a member and past president of the Melrose Catholic Womens Club, a member of the Medford Girls & Melrose Girls Clubs, loved to play cards and always enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas. Ann was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Kirby. Devoted mother of Cheryl Eastridge & her husband Stephen of Wilmington, DE, Robert S. Kirby & his wife Linda of Derry, NH, James M. Kirby & his wife Noni of Londonderry, NH, Steven Kirby of Melrose and Scott Kirby & his wife Toni of Londonderry, NH. Devoted Sister of Lillian & Rose Kennedy both of Arlington & the late Lyle D. Morrison. Cherished grandmother of Jessica, Robert, Peter, Jason, Candice, Kelly, Katie, Ryan, Daniel and the late Matthew Eastridge. Loving great grandmother of Zachary, Olivia & Alexander. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and a host of lifelong friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday, Dec. 18th, at 9AM. Funeral Mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 3-7PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
