Mrs. Ann Margaret (Chisholm) MacDonald of Melrose died March 26, 2006 at the age of 91. Born in Glasburn, a county of Antigonish, Nova Scotia Canada, where she received her high school education and later moved to the United States in 1937 and settled in Brighton, MA. There she was a parishioner of St. Anthonys Church in Allston, MA. She joined the Banquet Waitress Union # 26 of Boston in 1938, where she worked full and part time for many years until 1987. She lived in Everett for six years and was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church and later resided in Melrose in 1987 and became a parishioner of The Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Ann was the beloved wife of the late Angus J. MacDonald. Loving mother of Elaine M. Savage & her husband Michael and John E. MacDonald all of Melrose. Devoted grandmother of Alicia A. Savage of Melrose. Sister of the late Margaret Dunn, Florence Gottfried, Mary MacDonald, Colin, John, Bernard, Jennie & Mary Catherine Chisholm. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wed. March 29th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield, at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Tues. 4-8PM. Burial in St. Josephs Cemetery in W. Roxbury.
