Ann P. (Kiernan) Norton passed away at the Portsmouth Regional Medical Center, on Monday, April 15, 2013, at the age of 51. Ann was born in Boston, raised in Melrose, graduated from St. Mary's Grammar School, Melrose High School, Class of 1980 and then from Lassalle Junior College with a nursing degree. Mrs. Norton has been a devoted registered nurse for the past 30 years, working in the I.C.U. on the third floor at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Ann was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and caregiver who always made her family #1. She loved spending quality time with her children, enjoyed attending their sporting events and always volunteered to help out what ever team needed assistance. Ann was the devoted wife of Patrick Norton. Loving mother of Cassandra, Patrick & Allison Norton. Cherished daughter of Mary T. (Culkin) Kiernan and the late Hugh Kiernan. Beloved sister of Michael Kiernan & his wife Anne, Thomas Kiernan, Katherine Feeney & her husband John, John Kiernan & his wife Debra and Eugene Kiernan & his wife Karen. Devoted aunt of Christopher, Sean, Colin, Paul, Samantha, Caroline, Jack, Ryan, Meghan and Kaitlyn. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday, April 19th, at 10:30AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 11:30AM. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4:00-8:00PM.
