Anna I. (Carrabis) Infurna of Melrose died on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the EPOCH Senior Healthcare Center of Melrose at the age of 89. Born on April 16, 1923 in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Rocco & Caterine (Divino) Carrabis. Anna was raised in Everett, graduated Everett High School and lived there until 1950. She moved to Melrose to raise her family, was a homemaker and a member of the Woman's Auxiliary DAV of Saugus. Anna was an excellent cook and baker, loved sewing and entertaining. She would always remember a person's favorite dish and cook it for them when she entertained. Mrs. Infurna was the devoted wife of the late Louis J. Infurna, with whom they shared 64 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Rosalind A. D'Amico & her husband Salvatore of Melrose & the late Cosmo L. Infurna & his wife Gail, also of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Michael Infurna of NH & Mark Infurna of Melrose. Caring sister of Joseph Carrabis of NH, John Carrabis of Saugus, Alfred Carrabis of Lowell & the late James, Anthony & Eleanor Carrabis, Carmella Barrasso, Mary Deleo, Florence Gagliardi & Lillian Riley. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. Funeral Service in the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Monday, January 28th at 11AM.
