Anna M. (Flannery) Lynch passed away at the Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Tuesday, April 4, 2012. She was 86 years of age. Anna was born in Cambridge on May 4, 1925, was raised in Winthrop and graduated from Winthrop High School, Class of 1942. Mrs. Lynch was a homemaker and a resident of Melrose for the past 55 years. She worked for the dental office of Dr. Solomon on West Emerson St. in Melrose from 1980 to 1989. As a dedicated wife and mother she cherished the times spent with her family and the grandchildren were the "light of her life". Anna enjoyed spending summers on Cape Cod, was a former member of the Winthrop School PTO and the Melrose Women's Bowling League. Mrs. Lynch was a longtime and a founding member of Incarnation Church in Melrose. Reuniting with her sister and brothers in 1985 after 58 years made her life whole. She was the devoted wife of 45 years to the late Edmund P. Lynch, Jr. Loving mother of Joanne M. Schamberg & her husband Thomas of Melrose, Eileen M. Flynn & her husband Michael of N. Andover, Susan E. Gaudreau & her husband James of Dracut & Christine A. Boulter & her husband Myles of Wakefield. Cherished grandmother of Kevin & Ryan Flynn, Michelle & Jennifer Gaudreau & Amanda Boulter. Caring sister of Mary Johnson & her husband Gus of Stoughton & the late Eugene, James & George Callahan and Babette Murphy. Sister-in-law of Mary Helen Lynch of Virginia. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Tuesday April 10th at 9AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Church of the Incarnation, 429 Upham St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
