Anna G. Toomey, of Lynnfield, formerly of Chelsea, died at the Sunrise at Gardner Park in Peabody on Sept. 2, 2014 at the age of 91. Anna was born in Revere, raised in Chelsea, a graduate of St. Rose High School, Class of 1940 and Hickock Secretarial School in Boston. She resided in Chelsea for 65 years, Lynnfield for 28 years and the past 6 years in Peabody. Anna worked as an Accountant for Mobil Oil for 40 years before her retirement. She was member of St. Maria Goretti's Church in Lynnfield and St. Rose Church in Chelsea for many years. Anna enjoyed spending her time being with her family & friends. She was the loving aunt of Maureen Puddister & her husband William of Melrose, John Kennedy & his wife Sandy of CA and James Kennedy of Woburn. Sister of the late Mary Kennedy. Caring great aunt of Meghan Jenkins & her husband Matthew of Melrose, Brad Puddister of S. Boston, Marianne Keith & her husband Andrew of Melrose, John Kennedy III, Ryan Kennedy, both of CA and Kristin Kennedy of Reading. Also survived 6 great great nieces & nephews and several cousins. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday, Sept. 6th from 8:30-9:30AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of the Incarnation 425 Upham St., Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
