Annette M. Annese, of Saugus and Peabody, passed away peacefully on January 13th at Seasons of Danvers. Beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Annese (Tony). Daughter of the late Benedict and Antoinette Ventura. Devoted mother of Laura Annese of Saugus and her friend, Robbie; Linda Annese of Saugus; and Robert Annese and his wife, Rhonda, of Peabody. Loving grandmother of Gianna and Derek Annese. Precious Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Annette is survived by her brother Richard Ventura and his wife Diane, sister Evelyn Marasa, both of Waltham, and sister Lucille Ventura-Wandell and her husband Charles of Coconut Creek, FL. Special thanks to the many caregivers and the staff at Seasons of Danvers for their devotion to her care. Prior to starting her family, Annette worked at Boston Five Bank in Boston. Many will remember Annette as a dedicated Wife, Mother and Nana. The love story of Annette and Tony began at the Chatterbox in Somerville, an all-girls Italian club. After 50 blissful years, their love of dancing to "And I Love You So" by Perry Como never diminished. The Annese home was always bustling, whether it was Holiday gatherings, cocktail parties or card games. Although Annette loved to entertain and treat visitors with homemade Italian food and pastries, her top priority was her children. She juggled all their activities, games and events with ease. Annette was their biggest cheerleader and the glue that held the Annese family together. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to join the family at Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose, on Friday, January 19 from 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
