Anthony C. LoConte passed away at his home in Saugus on December 23, 2006, he was 80 years old. Anthony was born in Boston, raised in East Boston and attended East Boston Schools. Mr. LoConte entered the US Navy after high school and served for 2 years during WWII. After his discharge from the Navy he worked as a Medford Police Officer for a few years before joining the MDC Police. He worked as a patrolman for the MDC, from 1963 to 1991 and was stationed at Revere Beach for many years. Anthony lived in Medford for 15 years and the past 25 years in Saugus. Mr. LoConte loved to cook, even after he retired he would still cook at the police station for his fellow officers. He was the loving husband of Charlotte (Lisi) LoConte. Father of Michael LoConte & his wife Victoria of Malden, John S. DeCola & Cheriece Petruzzelli both of Saugus. Brother of Lucy Lanuto of NY & the late Frank LoConte. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thurs. Dec. 28th, at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 4-8PM. Burial in Riverside Cemetery in Saugus.
