Anthony J. Napolitano died at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Monday Nov. 11th after a brief illness at the age of 73. He was born and raised in Everett, graduated fom Malden Catholic High School and been a resident of Everett for over 40 yrs prior to moving to Melrose 29 yrs ago. Anthony was an employee of ConRail in the shipping and receiving department for 43 yrs until his retirement in 1991. He was member of Incarnation Church, the Wakefield Lodge of Elks and active in bowling leagues in this area. Anthony enjoyed carpentry and he was an avid pool player and a Pool Champion in the City of Everett. Anthony was the beloved husband of Astrid V. (Palm) Leary Napolitano and the late Pauline (Lenarduzzi ) Napolitano. Devoted father of Pauline Branzetti & her husband Joseph of Andover, Regina Napolitano of Malden, Anthony P. Napolitano & his wife Tami of VT., David Leary & his wife Ann of Haverhill, Thomas Leary & his wife Dianne of Uxbridge and Sarah Powell of Methuen. Dear grandfather of Nicholas & Mark Branzetti, Elizabeth &Daniel Leary, Maxwell & Shaynna Leary and Thomas Powell. Beloved brother of the late Sarah Prato and Philip Napolitano. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W Foster St. Melrose on Fri Nov 15 at 9 AM Funeral Mass in the Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St Melrose at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thurs 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
