Antoinette M. (Mury) Roche passed away at Wingate Nursing Home in Reading on March 20th, she was 89. Antoinette was born and raised in Nova Scotia and has been a resident of Melrose for over 50 years. She came to the United States, worked as a seamstress for the Jordan Marsh Company in the upholstery division in Boston and then worked for many years in the lunch program at the Coolidge Elementary School in Melrose. Mrs. Roche was an avid seamstress and knitter, was a member of the Tuesday Morning Women's Bowling League in Wakefield for 40 years and was a founding and active member of The Church of the Incarnatin Church in Melrose. Antoinette traveled home to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, every year until her illness in 2004. She was the wife of Harold E. Roche. Mother of Anne Marie Braid & her husband Robert of Wilmington. Grandmother of Alicia M. Braid & Julie A. Braid of Wilmington. Sister of Joseph Mury of Canada, Julia Doran of Medford & the late Isabelle Linden, Anita Reynolds, Rene Mury, Seraphine Boudreau and Emily Theriault. Sister-in-law of William Reynolds, Maime Mury & Reta Roche. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wednesday March 24th at 9AM. Funeral mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
