Antoinette "Netta" (Masiello) Snow passed away at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, in Medford, on Saturday, October 18, 2008. She was 93 years of age. Netta was born in East Boston, raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1935. She worked for Moulton's Curtains in Melrose during WWII, the Transitron Corporation in Melrose and in the cafeteria at Melrose High School for many years. Mrs. Snow was a lifelong resident of Melrose and enjoyed spending summers at Bow Lake in Strafford, NH for over 50 years. Netta was an avid reader, loved to garden and a die hard Boston Sports Fan. Mrs. Snow volunteered at the Fuller House for several years, worked as a volunteer at the voting polls in Melrose for many years and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Melrose Fish & Game Club. Netta was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Snow. Loving sister of Ernest Masiello of Melrose and the late Virginia Velluto, Pat & Charles Masiello. Cherished aunt of Anthony, John & Mary Velluto, Charles & Ron Masiello and Jean Powers. Also survived by many grand nieces & grand nephews. A Celebration of Netta's Life will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wed. Oct. 22nd at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4-7PM.
