Antonette F. (Moriello) Giangrande of Melrose passed away at the Atrium in Danvers on Sunday, March 18, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was 87 years old. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 26, 1924, she was raised in the North & West Ends of Boston. Antonette was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family, cooking, gardening, sewing, woodworking and making stained glass. Mrs. Giangrande was a Melrose resident for many years, a member of St. Mary's Church of Melrose, the Melrose Senior's Club and AARP. She was the devoted wife of Alfonso M. Giangrande, with whom they would have shared 62 years of marriage this May 28th. She was the loving mother of Patricia R. Garrity & her husband Michael of Topsfield, Linda A. Bruen of Reading & Lisa M. Buchert & her husband Scott of Topsfield. Cherished grandmother of Christa-Lee, Michael, III, Jason, Andrew & Ryan Garrity, Melissa & Kimberly Bruen & Scott Buchert, Jr. Great grandmother of Alexa. Caring sister of the late Vito, Joseph & Michael Moriello & Mary Ciampa. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins. A funeral will be held from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Monday, March 26th at 8AM. Antonette's Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose at 9AM. Relative & friends respectfully invited.
