Antonio Delia passed away at the Melrose Care Center in Melrose, on July 11th, he was 80 years old. Antonio was born in Boston, raised in East Boston, graduated from East Boston High School with the Class of 1942. Mr. Delia was a salesman for Standard Register Company in Boston for 25 years and after he retired, Mr. Delia worked for Ryder Truck part time for 7 years. Antonio was a resident of Melrose for the past 45 years and was a WWII Airforce Veteran, serving as a weapons expert. He was the husband of Marie B. (Ruby) Delia. Father of Adrienne M. Trainor & her husband Kenneth, Michael J. Delia & his wife Diane all of Winthrop and Stephanie A. Delia of Cambridge. Brother of Mary Appico of Chelmsford, Gilda Alimonti of Saugus and Anna Odierno of Peabody. Grandfather of Patricia, Kenneth, Richard, Michele, Michael & Anthony. Also survived by 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thurs. July 14th, at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 3-6PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. WWII Airforce Veteran.
