Obituary

Antonio Tony Penna, of Melrose, formerly of Everett, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Dec. 9, 2006 at the age of 93. Tony was born in Argentina and lived in Italy until the age of 16 before moving to America. Mr. Penna resided in Everett for 61 years and the last few years in Melrose. Tony owned Maddys Market in Everett for 25 years and loved Cooking, Bowling, the Red Sox and most of all His Family. He was the beloved husband of the late Florence (Ravanesi) Penna. Loving father of Madeline A. Rotondi & her husband William of Melrose. Cherished grandfather of William G. Rotondi of Tewksbury, Caroline A. Rotondi of Brighton and Douglas M. Rotondi & his wife Christine of Milton. Caring great grandfather of Nicholas & Alexander. Devoted brother of Assunta DAlleva of Winchester and Amedeo Penna & his wife Theresa of Everett. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Thursday Dec. 14th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in the Church of the Incarnation 425 Upham St., Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-8PM. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Contributions may be made in Antonios memory to the Home for Little Wanderers 271 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02115 or the charity of your choice.
