Aphrodite "Effie" (Manos) Kouletsis passed away at the Woburn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Woburn on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.She was 3 days away from her 96th birthday. Mrs. Kouletsis was born and raised in Peabody, MA and had lived in Cambridge for the past 73 Years. Effie and her husband were avid travelers and when she wasn't traveling she was a wonderful hostess. Her Greek cooking was unsurpassed. All who knew her loved her incredible sense of humor. She was a devoted wife to her late husband of 64 years, Eppie Kouletsis. She was a loving mother to her daughter Andrea Sakellaris and her husband Jim of Melrose, MA and her son Jim Kouletsis and his wife Martha of Milford NH. Her joy in life was her granddaughter Cassandra Kouletsis. She also leaves her godchildren Joanne Sintiris and John Janakos. She was predeceased by her brothers Michael and Charles Manos and her sister Beatrice Lambros. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church 14 Magazine St., Cambridge, on Monday, August 8th, from 10:00 -11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial at Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge following the funeral service. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
