Arlan F. Fuller Sr., of Melrose & Alton Bay, NH, died at the Harborside Healthcare in Wakefield on Oct. 23, 2007 at the age of 93. Arlan was born in Orange, MA, raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1932 and a member of the Melrose High School Sports Hall of Fame.. After high school, he attended Tilton Prepatory School in Tilton, NH and Boston University. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII as a Navigator for the Air Transport Command transporting fuel for the troops over the Himalayan Mountains. Arlan was a lifelong Melrose resident and summered in Alton Bay, NH for over 80 years. He worked as a District Sales Manager for the Harris Corporation in Boston & Quincy for over 40 years until his retirement. Arlan was the beloved husband of Mary P. (McDonald) Fuller and the late Rita S. (Fortier) Fuller. Loving father of Dr. Arlan F. Fuller Jr. & his wife Alice of Winchester, William L. Fuller & his wife Ellen of ME and Richard C. Fuller of Melrose. Father in law of Dorothy Fuller of Dracut. Cherished grandfather of Shaunna, Kathy, Bill, Arlan, Andrew and Karin. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday Oct. 27th at 10:15AM. Funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 11:30AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-8PM. Burial will be private.
