Arthur Francis Anderson passed away suddenly at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, on Thursday July 7th, he was 69. Arthur was born and raised in Everett, graduated from Everett High School, Class of 1954, and has been a resident of Melrose for the past 40 years. Mr. Anderson worked as a finish carpenter for Local # 218, working on numerous projects in Boston. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, the outdoors and his grandchildren. Mr. Anderson served in the US Army from 1958 to 1964 during the Vietnam War. Arthur was the former husband of Rosemary (Hubbard) Anderson. Father of Anmarie Anderson, Karen L. Curry & her husband Stephen all of Melrose and Patrick H. Anderson of Haverhill. Son of Marion (Quinlan) Anderson of Everett and the late Alfred Anderson. Brother of Shirley Miele of Everett, John Anderson of Lynnfield, Donald Anderson of Saugus, Dorothy Dabrieo of Woburn, Evelyn Guelli of Waltham, Marion hatch, Phyllis Templeton both of Everett and the late Robert Anderson. Grandfather of Evan P. Anderson & Catherine M. Curry. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 w. Foster St. Melrose on Monday July 11th at 8AM. Funeral mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
