Arthur J. Beauregard Sr. passed away at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston on Tuesday December 8, 2009. Arthur was born in Lawrence, MA on February 20, 1925 to the late Leo & Alice (Demars) Beauregard. He was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School and has been a lifelong resident of Melrose. After high school Arthur spent 10 years in the Merchant Marine during WWII. Mr. Beauregard worked as a carpenter for 50 years in the Local Carpenter's Union # 26 of Boston. He enjoyed remodeling homes, helping people and taking a 5 mile walk daily. Arthur loved to spend time with his granddaughter and his 2 great grandchildren Ava & Kate. He was the loving husband of Margaret L. (Stoddard) Beauregard. Devoted father of Marilyn J. Mollins of Melrose and the late Arthur J. Beauregard Jr... Beloved grandfather of Kimberly Molineaux & her husband Brian of Peabody and the late Blake Mollins. Cherished great grandfather of Ava & Kate Molineaux. Brother of Shirley Medeiros of Stoneham and the late Marilyn Kelley. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday, December 11th at 10AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thurs. from 4:00-8:00PM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
