Arthur W. Berrigan 79, died Wednesday Feb 11th after a brief illness at the Hospice of Naples, Florida. Born in Medford and raised in Melrose he graduated from Melrose High class of 1942. Arthur served in Navy in the Pacific Theater aboard the destroyer USS Honeywell. He was an employee of Jenny Oil Co. before transferring to the National Marine Fisheries at Woods Hole, MA. A resident of Plymouth MA and Marco Iland Florida, he was the son of the late James E. and Marion (Higgins) Berrigan. Brother of James E. Berrigan Jr. of Harwich and Robert T. Berrigan of Plymouth. Uncle of James E. Berrigan of York, ME. Graveside Services will be held at the National Cemetery, Bourne at 1 :30 PM. Relatives and friends invited Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W Foster St, Melrose Thurs 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 PM. WW II Navy veteran.
