Arthur F. Cronin, of Melrose, died at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on Dec. 20, 2007 at the age of 75. Arthur was born in Boston and raised in Jamaica Plain. He was a graduate of Hyde Park High School and served in the Marines during the Korean War. Arthur owned his own painting company for over 30 years, loved to travel to Canada to visit the Lighthouses in Nova Scotia, camping, fishing, foxwoods casino and enjoyed the outdoors. Arthur was the loving father of Debra Ryan of Malden, Barbara Snow & her late husband David of Wilmington, Michael Cronin and Susan Cronin, both of Malden. Former husband of Mona A. (Doyle) Cronin. Special companion of Carol Cronin. Caring brother of Marion Doughty & her husband Fred of Fl, Katherine McEvoy & her husband Mark of Plainville and the late Paul Cronin & his wife Maryanne of Ohio & the late Donald Cronin & his wife Carol of Hyde Park. Cherished grandfather of John M. Chaplin, Kristy Snow, Daniel Snow, John J. Field and Joseph Field. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose on Wednesday Jan. 2nd at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Arrangements by the Gately Funeral Home, Melrose. Visitation: None None
