Arthur J. St.Germain passed away at Elmhurst Nursing Home in Melrose, on June 12, 2005, he was 107 years old. Arthur was born in Spencer, raised in Oxford and attended Oxford Schools. Arthur lived in Medford for 10 years and Melrose since 1957. He worked for the Army Corps of Engineers in Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Maine & Boston, retiring in 1960. After he retired, he went to work for The Operating Engineers Local #4 of Boston for 24 year, retiring in 1974 at the age of 76. He was a member of St. Marys Church in Melrose and a former member of the K of C in Worcester. Arthur was the devoted father of Arthur G. St.Germain of Melrose, Francis J. St.Germain & his wife Frances of Medford, Helen Duff of Hingham, Dorothea Danner & her husband Stanley, Robert A. St.Germain all of Sebring FL and the late Marie Ramos. Also survived by 32 loving grandchildren, 88 loving great grandchildren, 47 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great-granddaughter. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wed. June 15th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tues. 4-8PM.
