Avio DiFelice passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Nov. 22nd, at the age of 76. Avio was born and raised in Italy, came to the US at the age of 21, lived in Everett for 13 years and Melrose the past 41 years. He graduated from Fermo Technical Institute in Italy and then from Northeastern University with a degree in electrical engineering. Avio first started out as a microwave engineer and then started his own company, NAE Company of Lynn, which he co-owned for many years. Avio had a love of sports cars; he owned several Alfa Romeo and Ferrari sports cars through out his life. He enjoyed working on his cars, his trips to Italy to purchase the cars and was a member of the Ferrari Club here in New England. Avio was the husband of Mary P. (Sorgi) DiFelice. Brother of Goeto DiFelice of Everett. Uncle of Donald DiFelice of Groveland, Annemarie Albanese of Georgetown and Emily Paone of Everett. Also survived by 1 grand niece and 3 grand nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wed. Nov. 24th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Anthonys Church, 38 Oakes St. Everett, at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited.
