Barbara A. Sullivan, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025, at the age of 95 in Peabody, Massachusetts. Born on January 7, 1930, in Medford, MA, she was the cherished daughter of the late John and Helen (Dillon) McManus.

Barbara's  life was shared with her beloved husband, the late Michael J. Sullivan, to whom she was married for 50 years. Together they raised their seven children in Melrose, MA. Barbara was the proud mother of Michael Sullivan and his wife Maria of Florida, Elaine Dixon and her husband Gary of Lynn, the late Paul Sullivan and his wife Maria of Peabody, the late Stephen Sullivan, Daniel Sullivan of Maine, Lawrence Sullivan of Melrose, and the late Nancy McLaughlin and her husband Donald.

She was a loving sister to Arthur McManus of California and was predeceased by her siblings Marion Ford and Margaret Divver. Barbara also held a special place in her heart for her dear friend and sister-in-law, Arlene Gorski and her husband Donald. She was loving grandmother to her grandchildren Sean, Melissa, Kerry, Stephen, Christina, Conor, Emily, Brian, John, and Patrick, as well as many adoring nieces and nephews.

Barbara relished the Foxwoods trips with her daughters, creating memories that would last a lifetime. She also looked forward to the family vacations at Wells Beach in Wells, Maine and traveling to Anna Maria Island in Florida.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM in the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gately Funeral Home, Interment will follow the Funeral Service at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
