Barbara H. (English) Neulist, of Woburn, formerly of Melrose, died at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on June 27, 2011 at the age of 85. Barbara was born & raised in Medford and a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1943. She worked at Jordan Marsh in Malden, Red Coach Grill in Saugus, Melrose Drug Center in Melrose and as a burlesque dancer at the Old Howard in Scollay Square. Barbara resided in Melrose for most of her life and the past 23 years in Woburn. She enjoyed visiting family throughout the country, going on cruises and most of all, spending time with her family. She was the former wife of Charles J.D. Neulist Jr. Loving mother of Joan Kelly & her husband John Murphy of Melrose, Rosalie Yurashus & Barbara-Ann Yurashus, both of Woburn, Anita Yurashus of FL, Charles Neulist III of Quincy and Joseph Neulist & his wife Paula of Tewksbury. Caring sister of Thomas English of Medford and predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Predeceased by her late grandson Brian. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and great great grandchild Gianna Passanisi. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday July 1st at 10AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8PM. Burial will be private.
