Beatrice (Bennett) Dinardi, of Melrose, died unexpectedly on June 29, 2017 at the age of 97. Beatrice was born & raised in Melrose and a Melrose High School graduate, Class of 1937. She was very proud to be a lifelong Melrose resident and was a member of St. Mary's Church for many years. She enjoyed traveling, was an avid gardener, a member of the Melrose Garden Club and was an amazing seamstress. Beatrice was a real lady, had a sweet soul and everyone loved her. She worked as a Bank Teller for Baybank for many years and her family & friends were the most important part of her life. Beatrice was the beloved wife of the late Alfonce J. Dinardi for 29 years. Loving mother of Frances Dinardi of Hull and Patricia Meehan & her husband James of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Deborah Johnson & her husband Jeffrey of Cohasset, David White & his wife Kim of Hanover, Nancy Doherty & her husband Shawn of Peabody, Joseph Meehan & his wife Jennifer of VA and Danielle Fox & her husband Robert of Mashpee. Great grandmother of Jake, Abbey, Lauren, Sarah, Michael, Bobby, Colleen, Andrew, Chloe and Ben. Caring sister of the late John F. Bennett. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday, July 5th from 9-10 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 9 Herbert St., Melrose at 10:30AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
