IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beatrice M.
Natale
October 24, 1932 – September 1, 2023
Beatrice M. (Baldassaro) Natale, of Naples, FL, passed away peacefully in Swanzey, NH with her daughter and step-daughter on September 1, 2023 at the age of 90. Beatrice was born in Malden, MA on October 24, 1932 to the late Bernard and Esther (Palazzo) Baldassaro. She was raised in the Orient Heights section of East Boston, MA. She graduated from Girl's Latin High School in 1950 and went on to earn a Bachelors and Master's Degree at Boston Teacher's College in 1954.
Beatrice was a dedicated teacher with a lengthy career spanning over forty years. She began her teaching career at the Henry Waitt School and the Garfield Junior High School in Revere, and Saugus High School where she would remain for over twenty years working as a teacher, guidance counselor, and core-chairperson in special education. Bea had a love for life and lived her almost 91 years to the fullest. Most people half her age could not keep up with her zest for life, even playing on a Bocce league at 90 years old! Her college yearbook described her as "a swirl of sunshine and song." which would be true for decades to come. Beatrice loved to sing in the church choir as a child, loved to dance and taught dancing at the Arthur Murray dance studio, was an active member of the Sharing and Caring society in Melrose to help raise funds for special needs students and above all loved socializing with all of her closest friends and family.
Bea was the former wife of the late Richard Moscaritolo of Melrose, MA, loving mother of Kara Stoning, proud grandmother of Benjamin Stoning both of Swanzey, NH and mother-in-law to Brian Stoning of Westmoreland, NH. Bea was a devoted wife of the late Gerard Natale of Danvers, MA whom she found much happiness with for 18 years. Bea and Jerry lived as "snow birds" splitting their time between Newburyport, MA and Naples FL. They were both active members on the board at their residence of La Maison in Naples FL which resulted in many long-lasting friendships. They travelled the world together taking many of their vacations on cruise ships and especially loved travelling to Italy where both of their ancestors came from.
After her marriage to Jerry, she became a caring step-mother to Jerry and Betsey Natale of Haverhill, MA, Elena and David Stasey of Cataumet, MA, Christian and Kathy Natale of Danvers, MA, and Stephen Natale of Blackwood, NJ, which enriched her life giving her a total of 14 grandchildren, and one great grandchild, JJ Natale. Bea was the sister of the late Patrick Baldassaro of Melrose and a devoted aunt to her nephews, Bernard Baldassaro of Peabody, Patrick Baldassaro of Melrose, her late niece, Doreen Baldassaro of Peabody, and great-aunt to Bianca and Bernie Baldassaro of Peabody. Bea was an amazing mother, stepmother, grandmother, and aunt and will be missed by all those whose lives that she touched.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 17th, from 3:00-5:00 pm at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, MA.
