Beatrice M. ( Shea ) Scarpa, 78 died at Salem Hospital Saturday morning after a short illness. Born and raised in Melrose , she graduated from Melrose High School Class of 1941. Beatrice was a homemaker and mother who was a longtime Melrose resident and a resident of W. Peabody for the past 38 years Scarpa, She was the wife of the late Nicholas D. Scarpa. Mother of Judith A. Leonard of Bolton, Linda L. Karra of Wakefield, Nicholas P. Scarpa of Tewksbury, Robert A. Scarpa of Wakefield, Michael L. Scarpa of W. Peabody, Christine M. Cavanna of Northboro and Daniel W. Scarpa of Middleton. Grandmother of Gina, Jade, Nicholas, Nicky D., Mia, David and Shea. Sister of Dorothy Brule of Littleton and the late Kenneth Shea. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St. Melrose on Wed July 31 at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, corner of Myrtle & Herbert Sts., Melrose at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited.
