Bernard V. Bud MacDougall of Melrose, died at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on August 6th, at the age of 89. Bud was born and raised in Melrose and has been a lifelong Melrose resident. He was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1934 and a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Melrose. Bud was a Vice President & General Manager for Kyanize Paints of Everett. He managed 3 different plants in Everett, Illinois & Texas over a career lasting 53 years. Bud loved fishing and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He was the beloved husband of Flora V. (Sheppard) MacDougall. Loving father of Linda J. DeHart of Stoneham and B. Paul MacDougall & his wife Peg of White Water, MO. Caring brother of the late Thomas & Robert MacDougall and Emma Donovan. Devoted grandfather of Shawn DeHart & his wife Michele, Amy Oakes, Shawna Bligh and Ambre Sapp & her husband Tracy. Great grandfather of Sophia E. DeHart and Jackson T. Sapp. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Thursday Aug. 10th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Wed. from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
